About the Role: Urban Moshav is looking for an unpaid intern to work 5-10 hours per week to assist with marketing, organizational development, and/or fundraising. The internship runs September-December 2017 with the possibility of continuing in 2018. Responsibilities will include some or all of:
Requirements: This internship is ideally suited for a motivated individual with the ability to think conceptually, work both collaboratively and independently, and assume responsibility; who is looking to develop skills in non-profit promotion and development; and who is motivated by a desire to learn and to contribute. The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following skills:

About Urban Moshav: Urban Moshav creates Jewish cohousing. What, you ask, is that?
- Cohousing is a form of intentional neighborhood, with private residences and extensive common facilities, in which residents know their neighbors well and are deeply engaged in community life. The cohousing model was imported to the United States from Denmark about 25 years ago. There are currently 163 cohousing communities flourishing across the U.S.
- Jewish cohousing is a modern village where neighbors engage one another through Jewish ritual, study, and culture, creating a milieu in which Jewish literacy, tradition, and values can flourish.
About the Role: Urban Moshav is looking for an unpaid intern to work 5-10 hours per week to assist with marketing, organizational development, and/or fundraising. The internship runs September-December 2017 with the possibility of continuing in 2018. Responsibilities will include some or all of:
- Developing newsletter infrastructure and format
- Establishing and help maintain social media presence
- Assisting with: (i) Curating and editing newsletter content, (ii) Cultivation of board members and donors, and (iii) Project management
Requirements: This internship is ideally suited for a motivated individual with the ability to think conceptually, work both collaboratively and independently, and assume responsibility; who is looking to develop skills in non-profit promotion and development; and who is motivated by a desire to learn and to contribute. The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following skills:
- Experience with social media promotion, especially Facebook
- Knowledge of e-newsletter and/or blogging platforms
- Ability to communicate well, especially in writing
- Familiarity with Jewish life and community is a plus (but not required)
