Dynamic Governance is an effective and increasingly popular governance and decision-making method for intentional communities, community and non-profit organizations, and even businesses. It means “governance by peers or colleagues” and is a system for organizing work and making decisions to guide the work. Dynamic Governance (also called Sociocracy) is based principles of transparency, equivalence, and effectiveness. When a community or other group uses Dynamic Governance, it tends to get more done than when using consensus or other methods and to enjoy more high-energy, efficient meetings.
We’ve made more decisions in the past two months than we have in the past two years! —Davis Hawkowl, Pioneer Valley Cohousing, Massachusetts
People are happier and more satisfied and getting more things done. —Laurie Nelson, Pioneer Valley Cohousing
In Dynamic Governance:
Quite simply the finest workshop I've ever attended. Diana quickly cut to the chase, providing hours of practical answers, and all with a hilarious sense of humor. —Dennis Gay, Sociocracy workshop, Champlain Valley Cohousing, Vermont, 2013
Workshop participants will learn and practice three organizing features of Dynamic Governance:
We have better follow-up to our decisions, and information flows better. Our meetings are faster and lighter. —Anamaria Aristizabal, Aldeafeliz Ecovillage, Colombia
A visitor said she’d never seen a community meeting be so effective, efficient, and fun! —Hope Horton, Hart’s Mill Ecovillage, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

In Dynamic Governance:
- Equivalence is demonstrated by all members having an equivalent voice in decisions that affect them.
- Transparency occurs because all policy decisions are made known to everyone through a "linked circles" governance structure (and minutes of meetings, of course).
- Effectiveness is a natural outcome because, when practiced properly, Dynamic Governance tends to take less time than other governance and decision-making methods.

Workshop participants will learn and practice three organizing features of Dynamic Governance:
